Alumnae Leadership Luncheon

Experience an inspiring alumnae leadership luncheon featuring Yolanda Medina '16, M.Ed. '19, Director of the Military Veterans Resource Center at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

A Marine Corps veteran, Yolanda has blazed trails as the first female to work on the AV8-A Harrier. Passionate about supporting veterans, she co-created the Latino Veterans Pictorial Project and Legacy of Valor. Yolanda's journey includes overcoming challenges, such as completing her bachelor's degree while supporting her family and dealing with personal loss.

At Carroll University, she championed veterans' rights by establishing a student veterans' organization and a dedicated space on campus. Now at UWM, she has expanded services for military students and promotes mental health initiatives. Yolanda's dedication extends to advocacy, serving on various boards and receiving recognition for her contributions, including the prestigious Women Veteran of Distinction award.

Her upcoming speech, "Pioneering Women: Redefining Veteran Services Leadership," promises insights into her remarkable journey and the evolving landscape of veteran support. Join us as we celebrate Yolanda's achievements and learn from her invaluable experiences in leadership and service.
